Electronic Newsletters
Monthly newsletters are sent home from each grade level team and the principal. These newsletters are sent to parents electronically to reduce paper use.
Principal Newsletters sent home every month (10 months) x 4 pages on average x 322 students = 12,880 pieces of paper saved
Grade Level Newsletters sent home every month (10 months) x 1 page x 322 students = 3,220 pieces of paper saved
In total, our electronic newsletters save us about 16,100 pieces of paper a year!

Here are a few examples of how this is reducing our paper use:
- For each fifth grade writing assignment, being able to submit papers online saves approximately 150 pieces of paper. With about 10 writing assignments a year, this saves 1,500 pieces of paper.
- A fourth grade teacher can share a science resource with their students electronically, instead of printing packets for each student. If it is a three page resource, this saves 150 pieces of paper per resource.
- In PE, our fifth grade students create goals for their physical activity. Our PE teacher shares this assignment electronically, saving 60 pieces of paper.
